Orthodox pilgrims in Holy Land
(8 days and 7 nights)
Day 1.
Departure to Israel.
Monastery of St. George in Lidda: Tomb of the Great-martyr George.
Transfer to Hotel in Jerusalem.
Supper and rest .
Day 2.
Breakfast. Departure to Bethlehem.
Church of Nativity in Bethlehem.
Beit-Sahour - Sheppard's Field.
Excursion to Mar-Saba monastery in Judean desert - optional (Only men allowed inside the monastery).
Monastery of st. Feodosius
Supper at hotel and rest in Jerusalem.
Day 3.
Breakfast
Mount Zion. Abbey of Dormition, Last Supper Room.
Departure for too day trip to Galilee via the Jordan Valley.
Monastery of St Gerasim in Jordan Valley.
Capernaum: Greek church of 12 apostles.
Supper and overnight in Tiberias.
Day 4.
Breakfast.
Great Blessing of Waters of Jordan river. Yardenit.
Mount Tabor. Greek Orthodox monastery.
Catholic Basilica of Annunciation
Nazareth. Orthodox church of st. Gabriel at Mary's Well
Catholic Basilica of Annunciation
Cana in Galilee.
Boat ride on Sea of Galilee and lunch wis st.Peter fish
Tabgha (where Christ multiplied five loaves and two fishes).
Supper and overnight in Tiberias.
Day 5.
Breakfast.
Russian church at Magdala. Mount Beatitudes
Return to Jerusalem via the Jordan Valley.
Monastery of St George the Hozebite in Wadi-Kelt.
Mount of Olives Convent. Tour of Convent: Russian church, mosaic floors, chapel of St. John the Baptist.
Site of Ascension in Mount Olives. Survey view from A-Tur.
Evening. Supper at hotel in Jerusalem.
Day 6.
Breakfast.
Walking excursion to the Old city of Jerusalem.
Gethsemane. Catholic Basilica and Garden of Gethsemane. Tomb of the Virgin Mary. Gethsemane Russian Convent. Bethesda. Via Dolorosa (walking): Lithostroton, "Prison of Christ", Russian Excavations and Threshold of Judgement Gate.
Holy Sepulchre. Tour of Church: Stone of Annointment, Golgotha, Cistern where the Cross was found, the Holy Sepulchre.
17.00 Evening service in Russian church.
Supper at hotel and rest.
23.30 Depart for Night Liturgy at the Holy Sepulchre.
3:00 am Return to hotel and rest in Jerusalem. Day 7.
10.00 a.m. Breakfast.
Ein-Karem ("the hill country" - Luke 1;39). Russian “Gorny” Convent.
Even Sapir. Catholic monastery of.st.John Baptist. Spring of st. John Baptist
Departure to Hebron. Monastery of the Forefathers and Oak of Mambre.
Return to Jerusalem.
Supper at hotel.
Day 8.
Breakfast.
Jaffa: Russian church of St Peter and Tomb of Tabitha.
Departure to Tel-Aviv airport.
